JAPANESE PBL MINI CAMP AT ARWACHIN
Arwachin International School with the support of the Japan Foundation, New Delhi (JFND) organized the Japanese PBL (Project based learning) Mini Camp on 7th November, 2023. It is the activity mentioned in CBSE curriculum for the Japanese language students of classes 11 & 12. The students of the host school participated offline and 3 students of Bluebells School International participated online in the camp. The topic of the PBL was “Let’s think about friendly environment for the elderly people.”
The motive of PBL is to strengthen the 21st century skills, like team work, collaboration, higher thinking skills etc.,of the students. The students tried to find the problems of elderly people through various pre –tasks like research about the topic, interview of the elderly people etc.and sought innovative solutions for their problems. The students also learnt about the way of presenting the same in Japanese.
Mrs.Vandana Jain, Japanese Language Teacher, ArwachinInternational School and Mr.Rei, JOCV, actively facilitated the students before and during the camp.
The guests were felicitated by the school principal, Mrs. Dimple Puri at the camp.
Our special thanks to Ms. Chiaki Suzuki, JFND for supporting at various stages of PBL. She attended the camp and appreciated the enthusiasm of the participating students.
