Arwachin International School conducts Gaming Adventure - Inter School Japanese Language Event
Arwachin International School, Dilshad Garden, was proud to host an Interschool Japanese Games event, “ゲームだいはっけん:Gaming Adventure”on 25 August 2023 in the school premises, It was a unique and engaging event that celebrated Japanese culture and fostered friendly competition among the students of the participating schools.
The event was declared opened by the inspiring remarks of director, Ms Ayushi Sharma who emphasized on the urgent need of instilling global citizenship in 21stcentury learners.
The Interschool Japanese Games event aimed to bring together students from various schools of Delhi/ NCR to compete in a series of traditional Japanese games. These games not only required physical agility but also tested participants' mental abilities and teamwork.
The chief guest, Mr Ashok Kumar Chawla, Advisor (Japan), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) applauded the efforts of the host and participating schools by showcasing their skills which promoted cultural exchange and deeper understanding among schools.
Other eminent guest of honour were Mr Yosuke Nakada, Second Secretory, the Embassy of Japan in India, Mr Atsushi Yokota, Vice President, Administration and Accounts, the Japan Airlines (JAL),Mr. KuniakiYazawa, Volunteer Program Coordinator, JOCVs from JICA and Mr. Nikhil Bhatnagar, AFS INDIA, Program Manager.
With a strong emphasis on cultural appreciation and understanding, Principal, Mrs Dimple Puri, in her key note address, was ecstatic to mention about a great team work to enable the participating students to explore and learn about the diverse aspects of Japanese culture.
This event was an excellent platform for students to showcase their talent, develop new skills, and foster camaraderie among participants from different schools.
The Interschool Japanese Games event not only promoted healthy competition but also encouraged students to embrace different cultures and broaden their horizons through engaging activities.
The Chairman of Arwachin International School, Mr Arun Sharma, in his concluding remarks, valued the importance of cultural diversity of AIS which strives to provide opportunities that enrich the educational experience of each student. He also reiterated that the Interschool Japanese Games event aligns perfectly with our commitment to fosterglobal citizenship and promote cross-cultural understanding among our students.
At the end a vote of thanks proposed by the Japanese learner extended heartfelt gratitude to the school management, principal and teacher fraternity for their support in making this event a memorable one.
