                VEER VANDAN AND KANYA VANDAN

                NEW

                VEER VANDAN AND KANYA VANDAN

Every year, on  January 26, people across the country celebrate Republic Day. This occasion, which marks the change from a constitutional monarchy to a Republic, is the adoption of our country’s constitution.

Arwachin international school takes this opportunity to cherish this day with “Veer Vandan” and “Kanya Vandan”. Veer Vandan, or the worship of the valour, is a cultural expression that regards the spirit of courage and sacrifice. This practice is deeply rooted in Indian tradition, which pays homage to the brave individuals who have selflessly dedicated themselves to the service of the nation. The students of AIS researched about the people from tribal areas that were not recognized. It is an attempt to appreciate the efforts of the unsung heroes towards achieving the freedom of our nation.

Kanya Vandan,is of equal importance for us as women played a very crucial role in the national movement all over the world. Kanya Vandan is a celebration of purity, innocence, and the potential for nurturing life. It not only holds a religious observance, but also carries social implications like women empowerment. In a world that has historically struggled with gender inequality, this ritual becomes a symbolic statement about the divinity present in every female and the need to uphold their dignity and rights. AIS acknowledges the women who worked for the Covid vaccine and Chandrayan 3, their efforts in this field are unremarkable.

Republic day stands as a testament to the unwavering spirit of a nation that embraces democracy, equality and justice.
