PARENTS' CONNECT PROGRAMME BY HT PACE

A positive relationship between the triangle of parents, teachers and the school has shown improvement in children's academic achievement, social competencies, and emotional well-being. When parents and teachers work as partners, children perform better in every field.

To build an exclusive community of parents, HT PACE organised "Parents' Connect Event' on April 30, 2022 at KNMA, Noida where teachers and parents were invited.

The event showcased an exciting line up of properties and initiatives throughout the year on HT school platform aimed at creating school leaders.It was attended by Mrs. Annapoorna Siddhartha and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar.

This is a platform for parents to discover innovative solutions for their children's  academics and co scholastic needs in collaboration with Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, Noida.

A tour of KNMA took the visitors to the divine world of Art and creativity which mesmerized all. KNMA is a non commercial, not-for-profit organisation which offers outreach programmes where unique, hands-on experiences are designed for school children to learn about art.

The event generated excitement and enthusiasm among the parents and teachers when they participated in a clay mask making activity and enjoyed thoroughly.

    Topic: Offline Prospective Resource Person Program on “HINDI”.

    Day &Date: 28th April, 2022

    Resource Persons: 1) Dr. Vinod Kumar Chauhan      2) Dr. Shiksha

    In series of many CBSE workshops, this time we got a wonderful opportunity, in form of PRP on Hindi…......a workshop organized by CBSE on 28th April 2022. It was a spectacular way of teaching and learning Hindi. Mrs. MuktaTomar and Mrs. Nidhi Sharma from Arwachin International School got an opportunity to attend this workshop.

    The masterly approach of our experienced Resource personsDr. Shiksha and Dr. VinodPrasoon was truly admirable.

    The highlighted topics discussed and explained in the workshop through PPT,songs and hands-on activities were:

    • New changing criteria of Hindi teaching based on NEP
    • Changes in the curriculum and books
    • Flow chart Making and Presentation based on chapters and Grammar
    • Hindi Advertisement making, Importance and ways to teach in interesting manner.
    • Hindi Dialogue writing and Presentation
    • Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing based activities
    • Different ways to make Hindi teaching more interesting for students.

    All other teachers also shared their experiences and innovative methods of enhancing Hindi language uses and interests.

    Overall, it was a great session to make and upgrade ourselves according to the upcoming changing scenario. We can plan and implement many of those activities and ways in our own way to make our teaching even better than before.

      PROSPECTIVE RESOURCE PROGRAMME

      CBSE TRAINING - PROSPECTIVE RESOURCE PROGRAMME

      Mrs. Priya Grover and Mrs. Vijeta Sharma attended the program for 'Prospective Resources Persons Orientation Program’ as part of Capacity Building Program, under the aegis of C.B.S.E. Centre of Excellence, (CoE) on 26April, 2022 at CBSE centre, Patpargang.Teachers of various reputed Delhi schools were also a part of it.The resource person was Mrs. Swapna Nair, Principal of Arwachin International School.

      Mrs. Nair started the session by talking about NEP and the enormous role it will play in transforming the face of education in India. She shared lot of nuances of English language that made the session interesting. She touched upon all the four skills of teaching the language. Also emphasized on teaching English as a language and not a subject. She highlighted various strategies to make the language interesting.

      It was an interactive and informative session.

        REPORT ON MOJDI DESIGNING

        REPORT ON MOJDI DESIGNING

        Spic Macay organized a craft workshop on Mojdijuti on 24th April 2022.Mojdi are hand crafted slippers / shoes and it is a heritage craft of Jaipur and flows from generation to generation. The artist of the day was Mr.Vikas Gujar. He is a national award winner artist. Mr.Gujar shared the history of Mojdijuti. It was related to royal families and gradually it reached to masses. He also emphasized that lower portion of Mojdi is made with Buffalo leather and the upper portion with Goat leather. 

        During the workshophe showed some samples of leather and patterns which are used as designs for Mojdi. He also gave demonstration on how Mojdi is made.

        It was a great learning experience.

          A Rendezvous series was organized by SPIC MACAY  on 23rd  April 2022.Pandit Rupak Kulkarni, a great flute player, performed the flute accompanied with tabla by Shri Kailash Nath Mishra.The performance was broadcasted live on Zoom.The session was concluded with an interaction between Pandit Rupak Kulkarni and students of various schools.

          Mr Sagar attended this programme.

            REPORT ON PATTACHITRA PAINTING

            Spic Macay organized an art workshop on Pattachitra folk art on 10th April 2022. It was attended by Ms. Soma Das and Mrs.Deeba Rukhsar. The artist of the day was Shri.Rabindra Behera. Shri Behera has acclaimed various state, national and international awards in his career. During the workshophe showed some basic drawings used in pattachitra art and explained that this art form basically belongs to Orissa and depicts mythological stories mainly. He made a nice drawing of ShriRam on the auspicious occasion of Ramnavami.He also explained that only natural colours are used in Pattachitra art.

            It was a nice learning experience.

              CBSE CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM ON HAPPY CLASSROOM

               "Happy teacher creates a happy classroom."

                 CBSE provides every teacher a perfect platform to enhance his / her skills by organising various workshops or webinars. A workshop covering the most important topic – Happy classroom, was conducted by CBSE The resource person was Mrs. Manisha Sharma,  on April 18, 2022.  Mrs. Shuchi Kaushik and Mrs. Mukta Tomar from Arwachin International School got this opportunity to attend the workshop.

                 The resource person highlighted the real meanings of happiness, pleasure and well being.  She discussed self awareness, self management, self motivation, relationship management and social awareness. She discussed the pathway of happiness. She clarified the importance of mindfulness. She also explained the PERMA model of Seligman with many examples. She defined different factors of  misbehavior in class. She described many strategies of happy classrooms like : storytelling, sports, flip classroom,podcast activity, peer learning , educational trips etc . At last with many examples she explained the importance of happiness class.

                Overall, it was a great experience and enhance their competencies to plan better, to create a healthy environment in the School and build a strong relationship with the students.

                CARPET LOOM

                SPIC MACAY organized a live session on CARPET LOOM on 17th April 2022.A loom is a device used to weave cloth and tapestry. It was supported by AnantBajaj Foundation, SRF foundation and Lal family foundation.

                Teachers,Students and Freelancers also attended the programme.Prof.SubhirKumar Saha,Mechanical Engineering IIT Delhi ,introduced the modern Axmister type power loom.It is capable of weaving high quality carpets with many varying colours and patterns. In this workshop a lot of ideas and experiences were mutually shared

                  A classical evening series was organized by SPICMACAY  on 16th April 2022.Vidwan Lalgudi GJR Krishnan a great violin player performed the violin.

                  The performance was broadcasted live on Zoom.The session was concluded with an interaction between Vidhwan Lalgudi GJR Krishnan and students of various schools.

                    The students, staff and management of AIS bid farewell to the outgoing students of class 12 (2021-22) on April 13, 2022 in the school auditorium.
                     
                    The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.It was a beautiful morning, as the batch of 2022 showed up, dressed in their finery.The programme started with a classical dance to welcome them all followed by a spate of dance, music and laughter as the students of current Class XII impressed everyone by showcasing their vast repository of skills. A PPT was shown recollecting the memories and the time spent by these students in the school left everyone nostalgic.It was an occasion for the outgoing students to look back at the time that they had spent in the school and the fun and enjoyment they had during the period.
                     
                    The class teachers of all the sections addressed them and reminded them never to forget their morals and values and bring a positive change in society.The Principal, Mrs. Swapna Nair and Director, Mr. Arun Sharma blessed them with their words of wisdom and bid them adieu with a heavy heart, but with a hope that they fair well in life and make the school proud.
                     
                    The pick of the day was the Rampwalk, Talent show followed by a Q/A Round in which the outgoing batch participated which was judged by our special guest, Mr. Nitin Chaudhary, Lauren Mr. India 2019 and Top Model India Season 5-2020.
                    The participants were awarded with several titles like Ms & Master Rampwalk, Talented, Confident, Best dressed, Ms and Master Arwachin by our esteemed guests, Mr. Chaudhary and Mrs. Shilpa Kathait who held titles of Mrs. Delhi NCR, Mrs. Summer Icon 2018 and Mrs. Style Diva 2020.
                     
                    The day was memorable both for the outgoing batch and the teachers. There was a lot of emotion and nostalgia as students took photographs around the majestic school building where they had spent their childhood.
                    The event concluded with a lavish lunch followed by DJ.

                      Storytelling Session-Interactive assembly Classes 1-3

                      Young kids love listening to stories. It improves reading skills and opens the minds of children to the world beyond their imagination.It inculcates valuable lessons in children and helps them learn about kindness, wisdom, honesty, compassion and more.

                      An interactive Storytelling session was held in interactive assembly of Classes 1 to 3 on 8th April 2022 by Mrs Grover about “The little Hippo”  and how his family and friends in the jungle  gave him valuable lessons of observing his  elders . The session was indeed valuable and distinct. Children found it really interesting and interactive in the story  which was made more interesting with help of puppetry,slidesshow,creative gestures and voice expressions.Students heard the story with lots of joy and enthusiasm . It was a fun-filled session which took storytelling to new horizons.

                       Overall this session helped the young souls to enhance creative thinking.

                        CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME ON HEALTH AND WELLNESS

                        “Being able to be aware that we have thoughts, but that we are not our thoughts, is a major breakthrough for people seeking emotional health and spiritual wellbeing”

                        CBSE organized the workshop on the Capacity Building Programme for Health and Wellness on 7thApril 2022 (World Health Day) at the CBSE , IP Extension. It was attended by  Mrs Sutekshna and Ms. Deepshikha. The main aim of the workshop was to empower the teachers with the importance of physical, emotional, mental and social health. Swarnima Luthra, Principal of ASN Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar was the resource person. Her content knowledge and efficiency was highly appreciated by everyone. After the formal introduction, the participants discussed about the importance of health and wellness. The key concepts discussed were :-importance of emotional health, stress and anger management and causes and preventivemeasures of childhood obesity. Post covid changing lifestyles and its impact were also discussed. The programme motive was to prepare teachers to embrace resilience for this. It was a good experience & we shared some interesting and innovative practices, followed in modern day schools.   

                        Overall, it was a great experience for the teachers. They will definitely enhance their competencies to plan better to create a healthy environment in the school and build a strong relationship with the students.

                          Tribal Gond Painting

                          SPIC MACAY organised a live session on Gond Tribal painting on 3rd April 2022. It was supported by Anant Bajaj Foundation, SRF Foundation and Lal Family Foundation.

                          Bhopal based artist Smt. JapaniShyam,Kamla Devi award winner at The Craft Museum in Delhi 1999 and Young Achievers Award, was the artist of the day. She made a beautiful picture of a traditional tiger with minute details of skin texture by using oil paint and pen work. Black, white and coloured images were made in a distinct style of her own. It was a mural painting on the canvas and paper.

                          Teachers, artists,artisans, students and freelancers also attended the programmeto learn, explore, grow and develop traditional values.

                            PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA WITH OUR PRIME MINISTER

                            Pariksha Pe Charcha is part of the larger movement - ‘Exam Warriors’ - led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to create a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters. It is a movement that is driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to bring together students, parents, teachers and the society to foster an environment where the unique individuality of each child is celebrated, encouraged and allowed to express itself fully. Pariksha Pe Charcha 2022 held on April 1, 2022. This year’s Pariksha Pe Charcha has been accompanied with the tagline “Pariksha Ki Baat, PM Ke Saath”.

                            Every year, PM Modi talks to students on dealing with examination stress and interacts with them as to how to cope with it and reduce their stress levels so that they approach their Board Exams with a more open mind.

                            The interaction was streamed live on various social platforms. Our students of classes 10and 12 also watched the live screening of the event.In the interactive session Prime Minister Narendra Modi said exams are stepping stone in our life and in a light-hearted question, he asked students whether they actually read or check out reels when they studied online.

                            In a nutshell the interaction was very congenial and students learned the ways of dealing with examination stress.
