Then the dramatization of various phases of Lord Krishna’s life began. The students donned as Lord Sri Krishna, Kansa and gopikas played out events related to Gokulashtami. They won the hearts of the audience by enacting Sri Krishna’s role as Makhan Chor by performing a dance to the beats of the song ‘maiya mori, main ni makhan khayo’.Then the students of class 6 performed a mesmerizing dance to lines of ‘yashomati mai se’.
After this, the students of classes 4 to 11 mesmerized us by presenting ‘govardhan leela’.This performance reiterated the fact that Lord Krishna was, is and shall be our savior for all ages tocome. Celebration of Sri Krishna's birth will be incomplete without ‘raslila’. The students of class 11 presented ‘Dance of Divine Love’ with full enthusiasm. The students put an end to the show by depicting the ‘kansavadh’ which re-established the victory of truth over evil.
The performers took us to that golden era of Lord Krishna. Dressed in the attire of Krishna and gopikas, they spread the message of ancient Puranas and our traditions. This event brought awareness among the children about traditional customs as they sat watching the pranks of Lord Krishna.
After all the energetic performances, the honourable Chief Guest enlightened us with his valuable words. He gave his views on truth and how it always overcomes evil in the end . Our Director Mr. Arun Sharma encouraged the students to follow the path of truth. The programme came to an end with the words of wisdom delivered by the Principal who made us understand the true meaning of Lord Krishna’s birth.
