On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Arwachin International School hosted a delightful Mother's Day celebration, bringing together students, mothers, and faculty members to honour the special bond between mothers and children.

The festivities commenced with a warm  welcome speech by Mrs. Surya Laxmi, who emphasized the significance of Mother's Day and expressed gratitude to all the mothers present for their unwavering love and support.

The event featured a diverse range of activities, including Fireless Cooking, Best Out of Waste, Rangoli Competition, Talent Show, and Ramp Walk, all of which were enriched by the active participation of mothers.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Ayushi Sharma, expressing gratitude to all participants, teachers, and support staff for their contributions in making the Mother's Day celebration a resounding success.

It was a memorable and heart-warming occasion, filled with love, laughter, and camaraderie. The active participation of mothers added an extra layer of warmth and meaning to the event, underscoring the deep bond between mothers and their children. It was a fitting tribute to the selfless love and sacrifice of mothers, who are the pillars of strength in our lives.

      Ananya Sharma from Commerce Stream scored a brilliant 96% and topped the school followed by Ishaan Sharma with 95.2% from the Science stream and Satvik Chaudhary from Humanities stream with 94.8%. The total number of distinction is 400. 27 out of 110 students have scored 90% and above. The Chairman, MrArun Sharma and the Directors MrAkshat Sharma and MrsAyushi Sharma applauded the outstanding performance of the students.

        WORKSHOP ON CURRICULUM, PEDAGOGY, AND TECHNOLOGY

        A workshop on the integration of Curriculum, Pedagogy, and Technology took place at Arwachin International School, Dilshad Garden on 13th May 2024. The workshop was attended by the educators from various backgrounds. The workshop was led by Ms. Shveta Kapur, a Master Trainer and Educational Consultant at Suraasa, an Ed-Tech oraganisation. The day-long event was designed to deepen the participants' understanding of how curriculum, teaching methods, and technology can work together to enhance education. The workshop began with an introduction to learning theories and real-life examples of technology in educational settings. Following this, educators explored different digital tools and created lesson plans that incorporated technology to improve learning. The day included group discussions and hands-on activities, helping educators develop practical ways to use technology effectively in their classrooms.

                      On 10 May 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education, Center of Excellence, East Delhi, organized a Capacity Building Program at DAV Public School, Vasant Vihar. The training focused on the topic of ‘Storytelling as a Pedagogy’.

                      Educators from various zones in Delhi participated in this enriching event. The CBP was also attended by two teachers, Mrs. Prabhjyot Kaur and Mrs. Shivani Sharma of Arwachin International School. The CBP featured two experienced resource persons who shared their insights and expertise - Mrs. Neera Koli: With an impressive 33 years of experience in the field of education, Mrs. Koli provided valuable perspectives on integrating storytelling into pedagogy. Mrs. Shruti Pandey: Mrs. Pandey, too, brought her wealth of experience to the sessions, making it engaging and informative for all participants.

                      Storytelling encourages creativity and imagination, which are essential for both teachers and students. By emphasizing storytelling as a pedagogical tool, teachers learned how to make lessons more engaging and memorable. The CBP was not limited to lectures; it included a variety of activities that enhanced the learning experience. It allowed teachers to explore different storytelling techniques and adapt them to their classrooms. Participants engaged in discussions, sharing their own experiences and challenges related to storytelling. Real-life examples and case studies were presented, illustrating effective storytelling practices. Collaborative activities encouraged teachers to create and share their own stories, fostering creativity. Teachers stepped into the shoes of storytellers, practicing their delivery and expression.

                      Mrs. Koli and Mrs. Pandey shared valuable resources, including books, websites, and multimedia tools for storytelling. The event provided a platform for teachers to connect, collaborate, and learn from each other. The day left participants inspired and equipped with practical strategies. It reinforced the idea that stories have the power to transform education and create meaningful learning experiences.

                        Interactive assembly of class 5A was conducted on 10th May 2024. The theme of assembly was National Technology Day .The assembly aimed to celebrate the advancement in technology and its impact on the  society .

                         Various activities including dance performance ,nukkad natak  and a quiz were conducted to engage and educate the audience. It emphasized the role of technology in shaping our lives and driving innovation across different sectors. A thought provoking nukkad natak was presented by a group of talented students.

                        The quiz covered topics ranging from famous inventions and discoveries to recent technological advancement. Participants enthusiastically participated in the quiz, showing their passion for learning and innovation.

                        The assembly successfully achieved its objective of celebrating National Technology Day ,while educating and inspiring the audience about the transformation power of technology.

                           The students of class VIIIB conducted an Interactive assembly on the theme of ‘ Usage of Technology in our daily life’. It was an ode to National Technology Day which is celebrated on May 11. The programme started with a brief speech on the significance of National Technology Day. Then, it was followed by a skit and Nukkad Natak in which the students were able to deliver a strong message on the importance of science and technology in our daily life. Lastly, a Quiz on National Technology Day was conducted for different sections ranging from classes VI to VIII which helped in testing the students’ knowledge and creating an interest in science and technology.

                            Arwachin International School in association with RIAR-PRO organised a thought provoking interactive session on ' GOAL SETTING' for the students of Class 9. They were taught the meaning of goals, how they are made and how they can be achieved.

                             It was refreshing to see the different meanings the word ‘GOAL” had for the children. They listed out their goals and what each meant to them. 

                            Towards the end of the session, the students were given a homework to redefine and structure their goals. They were thoroughly engaged in the workshop and learnt something that would stay with them for a long time.

                              The AIS community came together in a celebration of patriotism at the Inter-House Dance Competition held on 8 May, 2024. With the theme centred on love for our nation, students from Tagore House, Bose House, Tilak House, and Shastri House showcased their talent and passion through mesmerizing dance performances.

                              The event kicked off with Tagore House setting the stage on fire with their energetic performance to the beats of "Jaaga Hindustan," followed by the spirited dancers from Bose House who moved the audience with their rendition of "Hum India Wale."

                              The excitement continued as Tilak House took to the stage, captivating everyone with their dynamic performance to the iconic track "Suno Gaur Se DuniyaWalo." The competition reached its crescendo with the passionate dancers from Shastri House, who paid homage to our motherland with their heartfelt performance of "Vande Mataram."

                                  On 3rd May, 2024, the students of 5B presented the interactive assembly in celebration of International Dance Day.

                                  It commenced with the prayer to the Almighty followed by a Power Point presentation on various national and international dance forms.

                                  The assembly featured an array of mesmerizing performances like Kathak, folk dance and contemporary dance.

                                  The assembly was concluded with an energetic poetry recitation ‘Krishna ki Chetawani’ by the students.

                                  The assembly served as a platform to carry forward the spirit of unity and celebration.

                                  The efforts of the students were commended by the Headmistress Mrs. Ayushi Sharma and the coordinator, Mrs. Laxmi.

                                    Arwachin International School, in collaboration with EduMentor, organized a comprehensive guidance session on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) ON 7th May 2024 for the students of Classes 11 & 12. The session aimed to equip students with valuable insights into the examination pattern, preparation strategies, and the importance of CUET in shaping their academic and professional journey. Mr Vidur Sharma was the speaker for the session.

                                    The session commenced with an overview of CUET, elucidating its significance as a standardized test for admission to undergraduate programs across various central universities in India.Detailed insights into the examination pattern and syllabus were provided. The guidance session delved into effective preparation strategies, encompassing topics like time management, resource utilization, mock tests, and revision techniques. Expert mentors from EduMentor shared valuable tips and tricks to streamline preparation and maximize performance on the D-day.Students were enlightened about the growing prominence of CUET in the college admissions landscape, especially in central universities of India. The session underscored the significance of achieving a competitive score in CUET to enhance one's prospects of securing admission to prestigious colleges.

                                      The students of 12C showcased a power packed assembly revolving around the theme of computerization. National Technology Day is celebrated on May 11.  The assembly commenced with the prayer after which a skit based on how the National Technology Day came into existence was displayed. Then, it was followed by two energetic dance performances which left everyone truly mesmerized. Information about the spheres of life affected by tech development was imparted as well. Lastly, there was a melodious musical performance to mark the end of the assembly.

                                        Spellings play an important role in reading and writing correct English.Spelling words correctly help lay the basic foundation that our children need throughout their education.  We as elders encourage the children to learn the spellings to be proficient in reading and writing English.  Every year Spell Well competition is organized to enhance the spelling proficiency and pronunciation skill of the children. The students were given a list of selected words from different subjects like Science, Social Studies, Computers, Mathematics and English. Round I was conducted in each class to select the students for the Final Round.

                                        Spell Well Competition was organized for classes 6 to 9 and 11 on 1.05.2024 in the school auditorium. The children participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. Various rounds such as Spell the Word, Know Your Vocabularyand  Rapid Fire Round were conducted. The participants tried to spell all the words asked from them. The audience was equally excited to see their house winning. The participants were:

                                        Bose  House won the competition with 284 points, Tagore House bagged the second position by scoring 255points, and third position was bagged byShastri House by scoring 252 points.

                                        Our beloved Director,  Mrs Àyushi Sharma  congratulated the students for their confidence and hard work . She also encouraged them to tighten their belts for the next year’s competition. Our coordinator, Mrs Sangeeta Sharma announced the results of the competition.                                             Arwachin International School celebrated Literary Week from 29th April 2024 to 3rd May 2024 with the aim offostering a love for literature and encouraging creativity among students. The Valedictory Ceremony of the Literary Week, organised on 3rd May 2024 was a culmination of creativity, expression, and inspiration. With a series of engaging events, the celebration highlighted the importance of literature and storytelling in our lives. The event commenced with the Inter-HouseDeclamation Competition that witnessed participants pouring their hearts out through powerful orations on the topic ‘My Vision of India by 2047’. The Japanese NukkadNatak brought a touch of cultural diversity to the event, through street theatre. The performance was a visual treat, mesmerizing the audience with its unique narrative.The skit on the significance of reading was a thought-provoking portrayal of the transformative power of books. Through witty dialogues and insightful scenarios, the skit underscored the importance of literature in shaping minds, fostering empathy, and igniting imagination. It served as a gentle reminder of the joy and enlightenment that comes from indulging in the world of words. A renowned author and psychologist, Dr.Tanushree Singh, who was also the Chief Guest for the day, offered profound insights into the art and craft of writing.
