CBSE NATIONAL ADOLESCENT SUMMIT 2025
The school counselor, Mrs. Aafreen Sarfaraz and special educator, Ms. Megha Sharma attended the CBSE National Adolescent Summit 2025 held on 5 December 2025 at the CBSE Integrated Complex, Dwarka, New Delhi. The summit focused on “Empowering Adolescents: Voices, Choices, and Wellbeing”, and highlighted the importance of safe, supportive, and inclusive environments for young people.
The event included keynote sessions on mental health, cyber safety, gender sensitivity, healthy lifestyle, and career readiness, featuring experts from psychology, healthcare, law enforcement, and education. Plenary and panel discussions explored strategies to support student wellbeing, resilience, and positive school culture.
A vibrant youth segment showcased street theatre, poetry, dance, and dialogue, promoting student voice and creative expression around mental health themes.
Participation in the summit provided valuable insights into:
- Strengthening mental health support systems within schools
- Embedding life skills education into academic culture
- Promoting digital literacy and cyber safety
- Addressing issues of gender, identity, diversity, and inclusion
- Encouraging student leadership and peer-support models
- Designing career guidance programs that match adolescent aspirations
These learnings will help the ongoing initiatives in the Wellbeing, Life Skills, and Counseling Programmes of our school with a renewed commitment to create safe spaces where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered.
