 Awareness Programme on Child Safety under POCSO

A POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) awareness session was conducted at Arwachin International School on 17 July 2026 for the students of Classes VI to VIII. During the session, the teacher showed an educational video explaining the concepts of good touch and bad touch in a simple and age-appropriate manner.

After the video, the teacher discussed the importance of understanding personal safety, respecting personal boundaries, and recognizing inappropriate behaviour. Students were encouraged to speak to their parents, teachers, or any trusted adult if they ever felt uncomfortable or unsafe. The teacher also emphasized that every child has the right to feel safe and protected.

The session was informative and helped students become more aware of their rights and the importance of reporting any inappropriate behaviour without fear. It was a meaningful initiative that promoted awareness about child safety and well-being among the students.

       A JOURNEY OF LEARNING AND JOY: AIS ATTENDS HT LITFEST PREVIEW           

    Students of Arwachin International School recently embarked on a highly enriching and vibrant literary journey by participating in the prestigious HT LitFest Preview 2026 on 15 July 2026. Organised by the Hindustan Times, the grand event was hosted beautifully at Bal Bhavan Public School, Mayur Vihar, Phase-II. The young and enthusiastic minds from Arwachin were carefully escorted by their English teacher, Mrs. Prabhjyot Kaur, ensuring a safe, organised, and deeply educational excursion for everyone involved.

    The meticulously planned festival offered tailor-made creative experiences designed to cater to different age groups and intellectual interests. The middle school students, spanning from Classes 6 to 8, became part of an incredibly immersive and captivating storytelling session. This wonderful session was conducted by Ms. Simi Shrivastava, a renowned master storyteller who used her exceptional dramatic skills, animated expressions, and powerful narratives to completely spark the children's imaginations and leave them absolutely spellbound.

    Simultaneously, a select group of five senior students from Classes 9 to 12 were given the unique privilege of attending a high-level author interaction session with the distinguished writer, Ms. Mariyam Fatema. This intimate dialogue allowed the senior students to delve deep into the complex nuances of professional writing, character development, and the creative processes that drive contemporary literature, proving to be an immense source of inspiration for aspiring young writers.

    Towards the close of the day, the workshop reached its grand finale with a dynamic 'Rhythmshala' session conducted by the talented Mr. Ankur Sharan. This high-energy musical jam session proved to be absolutely rejuvenating, filling the hall with vibrant rhythm and instantly relieving the students of all their academic stress and exhaustion. Ultimately, the entire event served as a monumental platform for great learning, broadening the creative horizons of all participating Arwachinians.

      The Zonal Group Folk Dance Competition was held on 10 July 2026 at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Dilshad Garden. Students of Arwachin International School participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their talent through colourful folk dance performances.

      The girls' team presented a graceful Uttarakhandi folk dance, while the boys' team performed an energetic Gujarati folk dance. Both performances were highly appreciated by the judges for their coordination, expression, and stage presence.

      Both the girls' and boys' teams secured Third Position in their respective categories. The school congratulates all the participants and their mentors on this wonderful achievement and wishes them continued success.

        A Career Counseling Workshop was conducted for the students of Classes XI and XII on 10th July 2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Vineet Vaidya, a career counselor with over 15 years of experience in education, who has worked with Career Launcher, Pearson VUE, and Pratham.

        Mr. Vaidya guided students on choosing the right career based on their interests, aptitude, and future opportunities. The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and gain clarity about higher education and career planning. The workshop was highly informative and beneficial for all participants.

          French Assembly Report

          French Assembly was conducted on 9th July, 2026 with enthusiastic participation from students of Classes III to V on the topic “The Bastille Day”. The assembly began with the Thought of the Day presented in French and English, followed by an engaging French conversation based on a restaurant scenario, showcasing students’ speaking skills and confidence. Students of Class III delighted the audience with a lively French song. The assembly concluded with an informative video highlighting how people celebrate Bastille Day and interesting facts on this day, helping students connect language learning with culture and global awareness. The presentation was informative, interactive, and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

          At the end of the assembly, teacher's talk was conducted on Zoonoses day by Mrs. Deepshikha Ghosh and on Jagannath Rath Yatra by Mrs. Sheetal Yadav. The session was interactive, with children actively participating, answering questions confidently, and demonstrating a good understanding of both topics.

            Van Mahotsav Celebration (Primary classes)

            Arwachin International School celebrated Van Mahotsav on 7th July 2026 with a series of engaging activities for Classes III to V, promoting environmental awareness and conservation.

            Class III students installed the bird feeders they had prepared during the summer holidays and filled them with grains and water to support local birds. Class IV students participated in 'Hug a Tree – Promise to Protect Nature',  by tying eco-friendly threads around trees, hugging them, and taking a pledge to protect the environment. Class V students expressed their creativity through a Poster Making Activity on themes such as 'Save Trees, Save Life', 'Trees – Nature's Greatest Gift', and 'Environmental Heroes', highlighting the importance of trees and environmental conservation. The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation and successfully inspired students to adopt eco-friendly practices and become responsible guardians of nature.

              An interactive assembly on the theme Van Mahotsav was conducted by Class VII D on 4 July 2026. The programme began with an informative speech highlighting the importance of trees and environmental conservation. It was followed by a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak to spread awareness about protecting nature. A meaningful poem and energetic slogans inspired everyone to contribute towards a greener environment followed by a colourful dance performance based on the theme ‘Nature’. The programme was well-organised, informative, and engaging. The efforts of the students were highly appreciated by the Principal, Mrs Ruchira Bhatnagar, who praised their confidence, creativity and teamwork.
