NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY DAY

The students of 12C showcased a power packed assembly revolving around the theme of computerization. National Technology Day is celebrated on May 11.  The assembly commenced with the prayer after which a skit based on how the National Technology Day came into existence was displayed. Then, it was followed by two energetic dance performances which left everyone truly mesmerized. Information about the spheres of life affected by tech development was imparted as well. Lastly, there was a melodious musical performance to mark the end of the assembly.

    ENGLISH SPELL WELL COMPETITION
CLASSES 6-9 & 11

    Spellings play an important role in reading and writing correct English.Spelling words correctly help lay the basic foundation that our children need throughout their education.  We as elders encourage the children to learn the spellings to be proficient in reading and writing English.  Every year Spell Well competition is organized to enhance the spelling proficiency and pronunciation skill of the children. The students were given a list of selected words from different subjects like Science, Social Studies, Computers, Mathematics and English. Round I was conducted in each class to select the students for the Final Round.

    Spell Well Competition was organized for classes 6 to 9 and 11 on 1.05.2024 in the school auditorium. The children participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. Various rounds such as Spell the Word, Know Your Vocabularyand  Rapid Fire Round were conducted. The participants tried to spell all the words asked from them. The audience was equally excited to see their house winning. The participants were:

    1. Tilak House:1.  Manya 6C ,2. Vedansh Sharma 7B, 3.Adwika 8A, 4. Alisha Sharma 9B, 5.AnujGarg 11A
    2. Tagore House: Aadya 6A, 2. Vaibhav Sharma 7A, 3.SaiaanshRana 8A,    4. Shubh Sharma 9C, 5.AishaniRai 11D
    3. Shastri House: Sarah 6C, IbaadurRehman 7C, Tanish Pal 8C, AaravArora 9A, Gaurav Kumar 11B.
    4. Bose House: Shravya 6A, RitiGarg 7C, Lavin Goyal8A, Aadya 9A, Shruti 11D

    Bose  House won the competition with 284 points, Tagore House bagged the second position by scoring 255points, and third position was bagged byShastri House by scoring 252 points.

    Our beloved Director,  Mrs Àyushi Sharma  congratulated the students for their confidence and hard work . She also encouraged them to tighten their belts for the next year’s competition. Our coordinator, Mrs Sangeeta Sharma announced the results of the competition. The event was concluded by singing the National Anthem.

      On May 3rd, 2024, Arwachin International School's NCC cadets, led by Lt. Dinesh Chand Papnay, attended Maj Gen GD Bakshi's lecture at Delhi Technological University. Maj Gen Bakshi's discourse on "Tapovan: Regenerating Forests for Meditation" and his Indian Army experiences left a profound impact. His insights sparked a renewed sense of duty and patriotism among the cadets. Lt. Dinesh Chand Papnay noted the lecture's transformative effect, inspiring the cadets to aspire for a brighter future for their country. The event was not just educational but also motivational, shaping the cadets into more conscientious and driven individuals.

        ‘LITERATURE IS THE ART OF DISCOVERING SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY ABOUT THE ORDINARY’

        Arwachin International School celebrated Literary Week from 29th April 2024 to 3rd May 2024 with the aim offostering a love for literature and encouraging creativity among students. The Valedictory Ceremony of the Literary Week, organised on 3rd May 2024 was a culmination of creativity, expression, and inspiration. With a series of engaging events, the celebration highlighted the importance of literature and storytelling in our lives. The event commenced with the Inter-HouseDeclamation Competition that witnessed participants pouring their hearts out through powerful orations on the topic ‘My Vision of India by 2047’. The Japanese NukkadNatak brought a touch of cultural diversity to the event, through street theatre. The performance was a visual treat, mesmerizing the audience with its unique narrative.The skit on the significance of reading was a thought-provoking portrayal of the transformative power of books. Through witty dialogues and insightful scenarios, the skit underscored the importance of literature in shaping minds, fostering empathy, and igniting imagination. It served as a gentle reminder of the joy and enlightenment that comes from indulging in the world of words. A renowned author and psychologist, Dr.Tanushree Singh, who was also the Chief Guest for the day, offered profound insights into the art and craft of writing. With her wealth of experience as an author, she shared valuable tips and motivational anecdotes, inspiring aspiring writers to pursue their literary dreams with passion and perseverance.Overall, the valedictory ceremony of the Literary Week was a resounding success, celebrating the beauty and power of words while igniting a spark of creativity and inspiration in all who attended.
