Visit to Vikas Publishing House by Class VI

Visit to Vikas Publishing House by Class VI

As part of an educational initiative to enhance students’ understanding of the

publishing process, all sections of Class VI visited Vikas Publishing House on different dates in the month of July 2025. The visits were scheduled as follows –

Class 6A – 18 July 2025, Class 6B – 21 July 2025, Class 6C – 28 July 2025 and

 Class 6D – 30 July 2025.

The visit began with an engaging PowerPoint presentation (PPT) that explained the various stages involved in the creation of a book—from manuscript editing to design and printing. The visual format of the presentation helped students easily

grasp the complexities of bookmaking.

Following the presentation, the students were taken on a guided tour of the

publishing facility. They witnessed firsthand how different machines are used to print, bind, and finish books. This practical exposure gave students valuable insight into the mechanical and technical aspects of publishing.

A fun and educational quiz was conducted at the end of each visit, based on

what the students had learned. Participants enthusiastically took part, and

prizes were awarded to the winners, making the event even more enjoyable.

Overall, the visits were highly informative and engaging. The students returned

with a deeper appreciation for the books they use every day and a better

understanding of the teamwork and technology involved in the publishing world.

        Van Mahotsav

At Arwachin International School, we make every effort possible to protect and nurture Mother Earth. Keeping this in mind, on 3rd July 2025, Class 1 and 2 students celebrated Van Mahotsav in our school with great enthusiasm.

They learned about the importance of trees in our lives and how they help us to stay healthy and protect the environment.

Class 1 students created a big tree by pasting fallen leaves.

Class 2 students brought different materials we get from plants, like fruits, seeds, and spices, and pasted them on tree cut-outs in groups.

The activities were enjoyable and helped the children understand the need to care for trees and nature. The day was filled with learning, creativity and fun.
