ART INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: ROBOTIC TEACHER

In the Art integrated activity led by Mrs. Grover in IX-B, students donned creative hats to illustrate their dream robotic teachers.  They delved into comparing human and robotic teachers, ultimately affirming the superiority of human teachers.  This activity fostered critical thinking and imaginative expression among the students.

HERITAGE DAY

A Nation without heritage is like a tree without root

The students of class 12 D at Arwachin International School organized a dynamic assembly to commemorate World Heritage Day, celebrating the cultural and natural treasures of our country and emphasizing the importance of their preservation. World Heritage Day is celebrated all over the world on 18th April every year.

The assembly commenced with a prayer followed by a very thoughtful skit highlighting the importance of preserving our heritage sites and historical monuments.To engage the audience actively, an interactive quiz was also organized, testing their knowledge about UNESCO World Heritage Sites.A vibrant cultural showcase followed, featuring some traditional rhythmic dance performances.

In the end, our Principal, Mrs Dimple Puri, spoke words of encouragement, emphasizing the importance of heritage preservation and commending the efforts of students and staff in organizing the assembly. The assembly concluded with the singing of the national anthem by the students and teachers.

The World Heritage Day assembly at Arwachin International School served as a platform for fostering greater appreciation and understanding of our world's cultural and natural heritage.

MIDDLE SCHOOL DRIVE TO CLEANLINESS

Middle schoolers actively participated in circle time activities focused on promoting cleanliness. Alongside creating vibrant posters, they penned insightful essays highlighting the significance of cleanliness in maintaining a healthy environment. These activities reflect Arwachin's dedication to spreading awareness and fostering a cleaner community.

As a captivating class activity, Mrs. Grover spearheaded the story writing session for IX-B. Students were divided into groups and they wove imaginative narratives incorporating the given five clue words. This hands-on experience not only enhanced their subject comprehension but also cultivated teamwork and polished communication skills, making it a memorable experience

ARWACHIN CELEBRATES THE WORLD BOOK DAY

The Middle School of AIS presented its first interactive assembly on 'World Book Day' on 15th April 2024. The assembly was hosted by Class VIII-C to celebrate the day, showcasing the profound impact of literature on our lives. The assembly commenced with a captivating play titled 'The Magic of Books'. The students through their act, emphasized the idea that there's a book for everyone, regardless of interests or backgrounds. It conveyed a message to the audience that books have the power to transport them to different worlds, broaden their perspectives and ignite their imagination.

Following the play, was a role-play wherein the audience was treated to a live telecast show featuring renowned authors, Mr. Ruskin Bond and Mrs. Sudha Murthy. Both authors are immensely loved by children and adults alike for their captivating storytelling and insightful narratives. During the telecast, they shared their personal experiences, insights into their writing process, and the importance of reading in one's life. Their presence added immense value to the assembly, inspiring students to explore the world of literature further.

To conclude the assembly on a high note, a motivational dance and a song were also added, which inspired the audience to dream big and pursue their passions with determination and perseverance. The programmes encouraged students to believe in themselves and strive for success in all their endeavors. The assembly was a resounding success, serving as a reminder of the transformative power of books and literature in shaping our lives. It was a celebration of the joy of reading and the boundless possibilities that books offer to everyone.

REPORT ON SWACHHATA PAKHWARA,2024   

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has become a ‘Jan Andolan’ receiving tremendous support from the people. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is one of the most significant and popular mission to have taken place in India  and to exceed this mission the students of Arwachin International School  took the initiative to clean their school and classes under Swachhata Pakhwara , 2024.

The children came well prepared with cleaning equipments like mask , gloves , cleaning cloth etc.

A series of well planned activities were put into action where the children undertook the following challenges:

• Corridors were cleaned of any and all waste.
• Doors and windows were also cleaned by the children.
• Electronic gadgets like computer , printers , telephones etc in the classrooms and staffrooms were cleaned by the children.
• The children also took care of furniture  like : cabinets , almirahs , tables , chairs , teachers’ desks.

The activity on whole encouraged the children to keep their surroundings neat and clean and motivated them to dispose off ecologically harmful stuff like polythene and plastic with great care.

Students were excited to clean their school and classrooms and were motivated to accomplish the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan movement introduced by our respected PM .By the end of the day, the school looked spick and span and our little warriors were proud of themselves.

BAISAKHI BASH: A VIBRANT CELEBRATION

At Arwachin International School, we believe in celebrating cultural diversity and fostering a sense of inclusivity among our students. To commemorate the joyous occasion of  Baisakhi, Students of  foundational wing dressed up in traditional Punjabi attire, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Punjab and added to the festive atmosphere .They enjoyed the Baisakhi special food and shared their knowledge about the festival.

Students of  classes 3 to 5 also celebrated Baisakhi with gusto and religious fervour and showcased their talents by reciting poems ,song and dance performances. They participated whole heartedly and made the day memorable one by bringing Punjabi cuisines and had a communal lunch to celebrate the festival.

 The Baisakhi celebration was a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity, cultural appreciation, and community spirit among students. Such activities not only enrich the academic experience but also instill values of respect, empathy, and inclusivity in the young minds of our future leaders.

The students of Class 2 enjoyed Yoga today, learnt how to balance themselves and the importance of balance in our life. They learnt the correct posture of various asanas that will help them attain perfection.

We are extremely delighted to share that Mrs Dimple Puri, Principal Arwachin International School has penned down a case study in Brainfeed magazine on In-service education for teachers( INSET Model) urging the pressing need for schools to embed a roadmap for On the Job learning in their annual professional development calendar

B CERTIFICATE EXAM OF NCC

B certificate exam of the National Cadet Corps was held at NCC office, Kirti Nagar, New Delhi on April 10th 2024.  The cadets of Arwachin International school moved together seamlessly, showcasing discipline and precision. Each cadet's dedication and teamwork were evident as they performed in unison, demonstrating unity and strength."

PROUD MOMENT FOR ARWACHIN

Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha, MVPP is a scholarship exam conducted  by the Science Branch of the Directorate of Education in Delhi.

The main aim of exam is to identify and nurture the talents. This exam is conducted at the state level. MVPP is very competitive and prepares the students for the competitive world from class 9 .

Arwachin International school is delighted to announce that Mayank Tomar  of class IX  came out meritorious in aforementioned examination held on  10/12/2023.

Out of all the participating students 1000 are merit holders. Mayank  has bagged 37^th rank securing 75.5% in general category. He will be rewarded a sum of Rs 5000/-.

His achievement is highly appreciated and applauded by the teachers,  principal and management of the school.

(I – V)

ARWACHINIANS firmly believes that Education for Sustainable Development is a way to reconnect with the art of living in harmony with nature and a way to instill the concept of sustainability as a mandatory life skill in the learners.

Arwachin International school hosted a Creative art session for classes I to V on April 9, 2024, aligning with sustainable development goals.

Class I showcased SDG 14 LIFE BELOW WATER

Class II showcased SDG 15 LIFE ON LAND

Class III & IV showcased SDG 6 CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION

Class V showcased SDG 13 CLIMATE ACTION

A number of activities were conducted for the students where they had to paste waste materials like old magazines, toffee wrappers, poly bag etc on a sheet based on the SDG like save our planet including conserving water, reducing waste, single-use plastics and planting more trees. 

Overall, it was a great learning experience. It provided the students with a unique opportunity to present their creativity and skills. Students understood their social responsibility as future professionals and citizens.

CREATIVE ART

Arwachin International School hosted a captivating creative art session of classes VI to VIII on April 9, 2024, aligning with the sustainable development goals. Class VI showcased SDG- 7, Affordable and Clean Energy through slogan writing.

Meanwhile, students of classes VII and VIII demonstrated innovative approaches to SDG- 2, Zero hunger, by crafting items from waste material. This activity deepened students' understanding of global issues.

CIRCLE TIME: CLEAN SURROUNDINGS

Students of classes VI to VIII enthusiastically discussed and planned a cleanliness drive at Arwachin International School. Ideas flowed as they brainstormed ways to promote a cleaner environment within the campus and beyond. With a shared commitment to cleanliness, students are eager to embark on this initiative, fostering a culture of responsibility and civic pride.

ICE- BREAKING ACTIVITIES FOR CLASS XI

Ice Breaking activities were conducted for the students of Class XI on the first day of school at Arwachin International School with the objective of promoting social interaction, communication and relationship- building among students. Several introductory activities such as Bingo, Know your classmates, crosswords Alternate countingetc were conducted by the teachers.  The students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the activities throughout the day.

PRESERVING OUR PLANET: A CREATIVE ART ACTIVITY PROMOTING ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

The "Save Environment" themed art activity provided a valuable opportunity for children to engage with environmental issues in a creative and meaningful way. Classes XI & XII worked on the theme of SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) & SDG 15 (Life on Land) respectively.They utilized several art forms to convey messages related to the SDGs. The students were engaged in several activities such as Poster making, Slogan writing, Poem writing etc. By fostering creativity, raising awareness, and promoting action, such initiatives contribute to building a generation of environmentally conscious individuals committed to protecting our planet for future generations.

NEW SESSION FOR CLASS XI

Academic Session of Class XI began on 8^th April 2024 with utmost enthusiasm. The students were welcomed during the morning assembly with a divine prayer and a mindful thought. Our respected Principal Mrs Dimple Puri welcomed the students with her inspirational words. Later the new joinees introduced themselves to others. All the students were thrilled to embark on a journey of learning and growth together.

EMPOWERING TOMORROW: CREATIVE ACTIVITIES ON SDGS BY ARWACHINIANS

A Creative art activity was organised by Arwachin International School for the students of Classes IX and X on 6th April 2024. The theme of the activity was based on Sustainable Development Goals. The two SDGs on which the students worked were:

 Class IX– SDG 13:

 CLIMATE ACTION: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

 Class X- SDG 14:

 LIFE BELOW WATER: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.

All the students were engaged in various creative art activities such as Poster Making, Slogan Writing, poem writing etc. which not only empowered the students to express themselves artistically but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards global issues.

ICE-BREAKING ACTIVITIES FOR PRE-PRIMARY TO CLASS 5

Ice-breaking activities were organized for students of classes pre-primary to 5 to create a friendly and welcoming environment at the beginning of the academic year. These activities aimed to help students get to know each other, build rapport with their teachers and feel comfortable in their new classroom settings.

Following activities were conducted :

Name Game: Students participated in a name game where they introduced themselves using adjectives that start with the same letter as their name

Two Truths and a Lie: Students took turns sharing two true statements and one false statement about themselves. The rest of the class guessed which statement was the lie.

Storytelling Circle: Students sat in a circle and participated in a storytelling session where they took turns adding to a collaborative story.

Students felt more comfortable and connected with their classmates and teachers. The activities fostered a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

The ice-breaking activities were successful in creating a positive and engaging start to the academic year. Students actively participated, made new friends, and embraced the spirit of teamwork and friendship.

ICE BREAKING ACTIVITIES - FOSTERING CONNECTIONS ON FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

In an effort to cultivate a positive environment in the classroom environment, various ice breaking activities were organized on the inaugural day of school. These activities aimed to promote interaction and establish rapport among students, setting a welcome tone for the academic year ahead. Students actively participated in each activity, demonstrating enthusiasm and engagement.

WARM WELCOME - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

The first day of school commenced with a warm and inviting atmosphere as students were greeted with enthusiasm. Teachers and staff members extended heartfelt welcome to all students.  Various activities, including ice breakers and orientation session in the introductory assembly, were conducted to foster a sense of belonging. All this was done to set a positive tone for the beginning of the new academic journey.

CELEBRATION OF VEER GATHA(UNSUNG HEROES OF FREEDOM MOVEMENT OF INDIA)

 The celebration of Veer Gatha in classes II to V was a momentous event aimed at instilling values of bravery, courage, and patriotism among our young students. The event took place on 3^rd April, 2024, with enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers.

ACTIVITIES AND HIGHLIGHTS:

 The event commenced with a storytelling session where teachers narrated inspiring stories along with videos of legendary heroes from Indian history. Students were captivated by tales of valour and sacrifice, learning valuable lessons about bravery and determination.

Then students spoke about a lesser known freedom fighter. Through this the students showcased their speaking skills and deepened their connection with the characters and narratives.

The celebration of Veer Gatha had a profound impact on the students. They not only gained knowledge about the historical significance of brave individuals but also imbibed valuable moral lessons.

AUTISM AWARENESS DAY

World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day observed annually on 2 April, encouraging people to take measures to raise awareness about autistic individuals throughout the world. In an effort to raise awareness, Arwachin International school organised a special orientation session to mark World Autism Awareness Day, fostering understanding and inclusivity.
The session included an interactive discussion with the students of classes 9 to 12 with our School Counsellor, Mrs. Aafreen Sarfaraz. An informative video was also played which showed the difficulties faced by autistic children each day. It was an effort to educate students about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and promote acceptance and empathy towards individuals with autism.
Interactive discussions were held to debunk myths and misconceptions surrounding autism, emphasizing the importance of embracing diversity.
The students were encouraged to raise awareness and create an inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of their diversity.

MIDDLE WING INTRODUCTORY ASSEMBLY SPARKS INSPIRATION

Teachers of the Middle wing orchestrated an engaging introductory assembly on the first day of the session, commencing with heartfelt prayer led by faculty members. Mrs Puri, our principal, elucidated the school's vision, mission, and core values, fostering a sense of unity and purpose. Campus news updates were shared, followed by the coordinator, Mrs. Grover, introducing various portfolios of teachers to students. Furthermore code of conduct was also shared, emphasising the importance of discipline within the school community. The significance of the middle wing in shaping students' educational journey was emphasised.
Additionally, it marked an orientation session where new admissions and students of class VI were warmly welcomed by everyone.The assembly set a positive tone for the academic year ahead.

NEW ASPIRATIONS NEW HOPES

Arwachin International School welcomed the students for the new session (2024-25) on 1^st April 2024 with great enthusiasm and zeal. The first day of the school was a bag less day and various ice breaking activities were conducted in every classroom by the teachers. The primary objective of conducting the activitieswas to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for both new and returning students, fostering a sense of belonging and community within the school.  The students actively participated in several activities such as Two Truths and a Lie, Snowball of Friendship, Library Activities, Hindi & English alternate counting game Math memory game etc.

The ice-breaking activities conducted on the first day of school at Arwachin International School successfully achieved their intended objectives of promoting social interaction, communication and a sense of community among students. By prioritizing student engagement and relationship building from the outset, the school has laid a strong foundation for a productive and supportive learning environment throughout the new session.
