Reading is to mind what exercise is to the body.

World Book Day is an annual event celebrated on April 23 to promote reading. Students of classes I – XII of Arwachin International School celebrated various activities throughout the week to commemorate the event. They wrote book reviews, created timelines of famous personalities, read about Param Vir Chakra awardees, made bookmarks and coloured their favourite characters.

The celebration concluded with the “Drop Everything and Read (DEAR)” activity, where students and teachers took pledge and enjoyed reading together, promoting the habit of reading. Every class was immersed in the magical world of books. It was a beautiful sight to behold!

These activities motivate students to discover the pleasures of reading, expand vocabulary, and reduce stress. We encourage our students to develop an interest in reading and learn from them.
