ACHHI AADAT CAMPAIGNBY JICA INDIA

JICA India in collaboration with IJ Kakehashi and 2 Japanese companies (Kai India & LIXIL) organized an online event as part of the AchhiAadat (Good Habit) Campaign on 28th April, 2021. A team of 30 students of Class 7 & 8 along with their Japanese language teacher, Mrs. Vandana Jain and Computer Science teacher, Mrs. Neeraj Sharma participated in the event.

The event commenced with an introductory remark by Ms. Ochida from JICA followed by a discussion on the importance of good habits such as hand washing and the proper way of using masks by Ms. Mala from IJ Kakehashi. She also introduced the concept of Sato Tap, a product by LIXIL company while emphasizing on the importance of saving water.

Ms. Salma from Kai Group talked about nail hygiene and care to be taken while handling sharp items. Moreover, she also introduced a nail clipper developed by Kai India.

Mr. Sanjay Panda from IJ Kakehashi concluded the session by interacting with the students. The students showcased their Japanese communication skills and displayed their posters which they prepared as part of their class activity.

The students attended the session with great enthusiasm and the learnings would be really fruitful for them during the current situation and in the future as well.

    “It is not the honour that you take with you, but the heritage you leave behind”

    World Heritage Day also known as the International Day for Monuments and Sites is observed every year on 18th April to spread awareness about preserving our culture and heritage. This year Arwachin International School became a part of the World Heritage Day Campaign organized by Fairgaze and India Is Us with an aim to implement SDG-11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), among the school community. Many schools from all over the country participated in this month-long online campaign which started on 29th March 2021 and continued till 18th April 2021 with the Prize Distribution Ceremony being held on 19th April 2021. The prize distribution ceremony was a grand online event featuring a mega Webinar where various eminent speakers shared their wonderful insights. The chief speaker for the day, Ambassador Dr Deepak Vohra, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, announced the winners of the campaign.

    Ridit Chaudhary of 6-C from Arwachin International School has been declared as the Second Prize Winner along with Aarav Arora of 6-A and Devika Arali of 10-A who have been declared as the Top Contributors in this campaign.

    This campaign has proved to be an enriching experience for all the students.
