The programme began with a briefing on the mental health of both students and teachers,

highlighting its risks and impact on an individual’s life. This was followed by a discussion on various mini-disasters and maxi-disasters, along with the need for school-level preparedness to effectively manage such situations.

Subsequently, participants received training on preparing a School Disaster Management Plan (SDMP) and worked in groups to draft a plan addressing potential school-based disasters and the steps required to manage them. Each session was interactive, ensuring that learning was practical and skill-based.

The CBP served as an effective platform where awareness was translated into action, equipping both teachers and students to contribute towards building disaster-resilient schools.
