Nihongo Partners' Program 1st Batch Completion Ceremony

 The Nihongo Partners' Program 1st Batch Completion Ceremony was held on 28 February, 2026 at the Japan Foundation, New Delhi. The event was attended by Mrs. Vandana Jain and Ms. Mimansa Thapliyal, Japanese language teachers of our school. 

The day commenced with a session led by Mr. Ken Yano, Japanese Language Advisor at the Japan Foundation, who gathered feedback on the Nihongo Partners Program. Counterpart teachers from various schools shared their experiences, reflections, and showcased activities conducted with the Nihongo Partners over the past six months. A productive discussion ensued on addressing current challenges and exploring collaborative strategies to enhance coordination with the Nihongo Partners, aiming to make the next program more impactful.

The ceremony concluded successfully, marking a delightful and enriching experience for all participants. The event fostered a spirit of collaboration and provided valuable insights for further strengthening the Nihongo Partners Program.

    The students of UKG B conducted a meaningful class assembly on 27th February on the topic ‘Being Respectful’. The assembly highlighted the importance of showing respect towards parents, teachers, elders and friends.

    The children confidently shared their thoughts, recited a Hindi poem with expressions and performed a lively dance based on the theme. All the presentations were well-coordinated and conveyed the message beautifully.

    The Coordinator, Ms. Natasha Sharma appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and the guidance of the teacher. The assembly concluded with the teacher’s talk and a brief discussion on the importance of being respectful in daily life.

                                        On 26 February 2026, the students of Classes III to V visited  Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Memorial for an enriching educational excursion. The objective of the visit was to help students understand the life, struggles, and remarkable contributions of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar towards social justice and equality in India.

      During the visit, students observed various galleries showcasing Dr. Ambedkar’s personal belongings, photographs, manuscripts, and significant milestones of his life. They learned about his pivotal role in drafting the Indian Constitution and his relentless efforts to eradicate social discrimination. The audio-visual presentations and interactive displays made the experience both engaging and informative.

      The trip provided students with valuable insights into the importance of equality, education, and perseverance. It was a meaningful learning experience that inspired them to uphold the values of respect, unity, and hard work in their daily lives. The visit was conducted smoothly, and students returned to school with enhanced knowledge and a deeper sense of appreciation for our national leaders.

        On February 21, 2026, the students had a joyful and exciting day at Fun City. The picnic was organized to give the children a refreshing break from their regular classroom routine.

        The children enthusiastically enjoyed various fun rides and engaging activities. They played different games that promoted teamwork, coordination, and physical activity. Their laughter and cheerful faces made the atmosphere lively and vibrant.

        One of the most exciting parts of the day was the delicious variety of food. The children thoroughly enjoyed different snacks and treats, which added extra happiness to the picnic. Sharing food with friends made the experience even more special and memorable.

          UKG-C Interactive Assembly

          A special assembly was conducted by the students of UKG C on 20th February 2026, on the theme ‘Sharing is Caring’.  The assembly aimed to teach children the importance of kindness, generosity, and helping others. The assembly began with a warm welcome, followed by the thought of the day, news update, and weather forecast.

           A short skit was presented by the children on the importance of sharing. The highlight of the event was a delightful dance performance by the children that showcased the joy of sharing. This was followed by a vibrant talk on how caring and helpful we could be to our friends, family and teachers. The talk especially focused on ‘how we can share happiness with our words, efforts.’

          At the end of the assembly, the coordinator appreciated the efforts of the students and the teacher for their wonderful presentation. She encouraged the children to always remember that sharing brings joy and strengthens friendship.

            Visit of Japanese University Delegates to Arwachin

            Arwachin International School had the honour of welcoming delegates from the University of Tokyo (India Office) and Showa Women's University, Japan on February 17, 2026, for an academic interaction session focused on higher education opportunities in Japan.

            The visit was coordinated by Ms. Satsuki Shioyama from the University of Tokyo (India Office) under the Japan Scholar initiative, which promotes academic collaboration and awareness about studying in Japan. The delegates from Showa Women's University included:

            The session introduced the undergraduate programs in Japan, including the 4.5-year pathway for Indian high school students. The delegates also interacted with faculty to understand our Japanese language curriculum and foreign language structure.

            The visit was insightful and inspiring, strengthening academic ties and opening new opportunities for students aspiring to study in Japan.

              On February 13, 2026, the students of Class 1 and 2 had an exciting day at KidZania Noida.

              The students engaged in various role-playing activities, such as being doctors, firefighters, and pilots. They loved dressing up and learning about different professions. They enjoyed several games that encouraged physical activity. The day was topped off with a delightful lunch. The picnic was a great opportunity for the children to socialize and bond with their classmates. They laughed, played, and shared experiences, strengthening friendships.

              Overall, the visit to KidZania was a memorable and enjoyable experience, filled with learning, fun, and social interactions. The children got a token of love, a KidZania badge and some snacks while returning home. The day was full of smiles and memories to cherish forever.

                The Sur Sangam (Indian Music Competition) of the Foundation Wing was conducted on 12th of February, 2026. The event was full of enthusiasm and excitement. The auditorium was filled with melodious tunes as the students confidently presented a variety of songs, including children’s song, inspirational songs and patriotic songs. Their expressions, rhythm, and voice modulation reflected sincere practice and dedication. The occasion was graced with the presence of our honourable Coordinator, Ms. Natasha Sharma. The children were appreciated for their wonderful efforts. The teachers were also appreciated for their guidance and support.

                Overall, the competition was a great success and provided a beautiful platform for the children to express themselves and develop confidence and overcome their stage fright.

                  Japan Foundation Official Visits Arwachin International School 

                  On 12 February 2026, Mr. Ken Yano, a Japanese Language Advisor from the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, visited Arwachin International School. The purpose of the visit was to observe Japanese classes and review the collaboration of the Nihongo Partner with the counterpart teachers. 

                  Mr. Yano observed the Classes 5, 7 and 9 and was delighted to see the collaborative teaching between Mr. Kishi Hiroto, the Nihongo Partner, and the Japanese language teachers, Mrs. Vandana Jain and Ms. Mimansa Thapliyal, who served as counterparts. He appreciated that the curriculum incorporated Japanese culture, making it easier for students to learn the language.

                      Fire Safety and Disaster Management Workshop

                      A fire safety workshop and drill was conducted in Arwachin International School on February 10, 2026, to create awareness about fire hazards and safety measures. The session was conducted by the distinguished experts—Mr. Deepak Ola and Mr. Tushar Singh from the Delhi Fire Service, along with Mr. Viresh Chander Singh from the Education Academy.

                      The workshop began with a formal note welcome, followed by an introduction to the emergency helpline number and correct procedures for reporting a fire. Through real-life case studies and videos, students learned about fire hazards, the prevention methods, and the survival techniques in smoke-filled environment.

                      A significant highlight was the training on crowd safety and stampede prevention, including the ‘Turtle Position’ and techniques to create a breathing pocket during overcrowding. Practical rescue methods were demonstrated through role play, showcasing single-rescuer and group ‘human chair’ techniques.

                      The Students were also introduced to key emergency frameworks—R.A.C.E.and P.A.S.S.via a PowerPoint presentation. The workshop concluded with live demonstrations of the use of fire extinguisher use and the wet bedsheet method to smother fires.

                      The workshop was highly informative and empowering, enhancing preparedness and safety awareness across the school community.

                            The Dance Club Assembly was conducted on 9 February, 2026 by the students of classes VI-VIII with great enthusiasm and artistic spirit, showcasing the talent and dedication of the club members. The program aimed to highlight dance as a powerful medium of expression and creativity.

                            The assembly began with an insightful speech on Dance as a Form of Art. The speaker beautifully explained how dance is not merely a series of movements set to music, but a profound form of storytelling that conveys emotions, culture, history, and social messages. Various classical and contemporary dance forms were mentioned to emphasize the richness and diversity of this art form.

                            Following the speech, a PowerPoint presentation was displayed, highlighting the activities and achievements of the Dance Club throughout the year. It reflected the hard work, teamwork, and dedication of the club members and their mentors.

                            The assembly concluded with a captivating dance drama based on Draupadi Cheer Haran from the epic Mahabharata. The performance was emotionally powerful and artistically impressive. The performers effectively portrayed the intense emotions of Draupadi and the dramatic tension of the scene. Through expressive movements, synchronized choreography, and impactful background music, the dancers brought the mythological episode to life. The audience was deeply moved by the performance and applauded the participants wholeheartedly.

                              Story Telling Competition

                              A storytelling competition for Pre-Primary children was conducted on 9th of February, 2026. The event was full of enthusiasm and creativity as the little participants confidently narrated their stories with expressions and actions. The story theme for LKG was ‘Animals and Birds’ and for UKG ‘Classical moral stories’. Our little story tellers had to triumph three auditions before getting selected for the finals. They did an excellent job handling the props while telling the stories without missing any detail on the stage.

                              The occasion was graced with the presence of the honourable Principal, Mrs. Ruchira Bhatnagar and the Coordinator, Miss. Natasha Sharma. The children were appreciated for their wonderful efforts. They were encouraged to keep improving their speaking skills. The teachers were also appreciated for their guidance and support. The competition was not only entertaining but also educational as it helped the children to learn the important life values like honesty, kindness and sharing.

                              Overall, the competition was a great success and provided a beautiful platform for the children to express themselves and develop confidence and overcome their stage fright.

                                    The students of Class 1A conducted an Interactive Assembly to spread the message of love and kindness  on the topic – 'Be Kind To Everyone'  on February 4, 2026.The assembly began with a thought-provoking introduction, followed by the News and a story dramatisation that beautifully showcased how to help a friend in need. Students came forward to speak a few lines and recited a poem highlighting the need of being kind. Their confident voices and clear message left a lasting impression on everyone. At last the children tapped their feet on a beautiful song about kindness that touched everyone’s heart. The assembly concluded with a pledge to be kind to everyone. At the end our coordinator, Ms. Natasha Sharma addressed the students. She praised all the participants and concluded the assembly with the National Anthem. The event was joyful, educational, and helped the students to understand the importance of being kind.

                                      Mathematics and Technology Club Assembly,  3rd February,2026

                                      On 3rd February 2026, the Mathematics Club and the Technology Club organised a special interactive assembly for the students of Classes III to V. The aim of the assembly was to make learning fun, creative, and engaging, while also introducing students to the basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

                                      The program began with a warm welcome, followed by lively math poems, exciting math tricks, and a vibrant math dance that beautifully presented mathematical concepts through rhythm and movement. The performances helped students understand numbers, shapes, and quick calculations in an enjoyable way.

                                      The Technology club highlighted the importance of computers in daily life, explained the basic parts of a computer, and introduced students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence. Informative speeches, presentations, and an engaging quiz made the session both educational and entertaining.

                                      The assembly was full of energy and enthusiasm. It successfully combined learning with creativity, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

                                        We are proud to announce that Ansh of Class 6D has secured a Gold Medal  in the Delhi State Tug of War Championship, held at Govt. Co-Ed Sr. Sec. School, Dwarka on 3rd February 2026. He was a proud member of the Zone 6 Sub-Junior Team.

                                        The event was graced by Chief Guest – Olympic Medalist Wrestler, Shri Ravi Dahiya, making the achievement even more special.

                                        Congratulations to Ansh for bringing laurels to the school. Keep shining and achieving greater heights!

                                          CLASSES III TO V   

                                          The Math-O-Run activity was successfully conducted on 2nd February, 2026 in the school playground. The event aimed to integrate mathematical skills with physical fitness in a fun and engaging manner.

                                          Students from different houses enthusiastically participated in the activity. The students first solved math questions, and after solving them correctly, they crossed the hurdles placed along the race track and reached the finishing point. This activity helped in developing both logical thinking and physical stamina.

                                          The event was judged by Mr. Ishwar Thapa and Mr. Aditya Kumar, who evaluated the sports skills of the participants. Mrs.Surya Laxmi, the Coordinator of the Preparatory Wing, motivated and encouraged the children throughout the event.

                                          At the end of the activity, both mathematical ability and sports skills were evaluated. The results of the event were as follows:
