Educational trip - Bharat Darshan Park

Our school organized an educational trip to Bharat Darshan Park, Punjabi Bagh for the students of class 9 to 12. The main objective of this visit is to provide students an opportunity to explore and discover India's cultural heritage, architectural diversity and environmental creativity in an enjoyable and informative way.

The park spread over several acres, beautifully displays 21 iconic monuments of India such as The Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Charminar, Gateway of India, Sun Temple of Konark, Hampi's Stone Chariot, Victoria Memorial, Mysore Palace and Mahabat Palace -- all recreated using waste and scrap materials like old iron rods, automobile parts and metal sheets. The idea behind the park -- "Waste to Wonder" promotes enviornmental awareness and teaches the importance of creative reuse and recycling.

One of the most interesting feature of the park was that each monument had a detailed history board placed infront of it. These boards contained the important information about the monuments' origin, location, architectural values and cultural significance. Students gained valuable historical knowledge about the different regions of India.

In conclusion the trip was not only fun but also highly inspiring. It provided students with practical learning about India’s rich heritage, architecture and environmental sustainability. The trip left a long lasting impression on everyone’s mind as art, history and environmental consciousness were blended together in a creative way. It was indeed a truly enriching experience.

              SCHOOL WELLBEING PROGRAMME

Arwachin International School recognizes the fact that children may not always express their feelings verbally. Subtle changes in behavior, such as sudden quietness, resistance to school, or frequent complaints of physical discomfort, can indicate emotional or psychological stress. To address these concerns, the school organized a School Wellbeing Programme aimed at educating parents on identifying and understanding these early signals.

The programme was conducted for the parents of students from Classes III to VIII in collaboration with Limbiq Healthcare – Center for Child Development, an organization specializing in child mental health and development. The Objectives of the Programme were to sensitize parents about the emotional and psychological wellbeing of children, to guide parents in recognizing subtle signs of stress, anxiety, or emotional distress in their children, to provide strategies for effective communication and support at home and, to foster collaboration between parents and the school in promoting overall child wellbeing.

The session was attended by a large number of parents, demonstrating strong engagement and interest. Case-based scenarios were shared to help parents relate theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. The parents actively participated in discussions, sharing concerns and asking questions. They gained a clearer understanding of the importance of emotional wellbeing and the subtle signs of distress in children. Strategies for fostering positive communication between parents and children were shared and well-received. The session strengthened the partnership between the school and parents in supporting children’s holistic development.

The School Wellbeing Programme successfully created awareness among parents about recognizing and addressing children’s emotional and psychological needs. The collaboration with Limbiq Healthcare provided expert guidance, making the session both informative and practical. The school looks forward to continuing such initiatives to ensure the overall wellbeing of students and to equip parents with the knowledge to support their children effectively.
