Zonal Chess Competition (2019)

The students Arwachin International School participated in the Zonal Chess Competition held from 29th July to 31st July’2019. Numerous schools from zone VI participated in the competition at the Governement Senior Secondary School, C-Block, Dilshad Garden. Pritika Nagpal and Tanisha Bhikhan of class 10 participated in the Junior Girls category and bagged the 2nd position. Piyush and Harsh of class 11 won the 3rd place in the Senior Boys category. It was a great learning experience for the students.

    Capacity Building Programme for Science

    Capacity  Building Programme  for Science

    CBSE organized the workshop on  the Capacity Building Programme for science on 27th & 28th August 2019 at the Cambridge School Srinivas Puri. It was attended by   Mrs Ambika Verma & Mrs Sunita Suri. The main aim of the workshop was to empower the teachers with the modern tools of teaching learning process.

    Mrs Maninder Pal Kaur , Principal of Shiv Model Public school , Paschim Vihar was the resource person. Her content knowledge and efficiency was highly appreciated by everyone. After the formal introduction, the participants discussed about the importance of science & teaching of science. The key concepts discussed were  Bloom’s taxonomy, framing teaching objectives, teaching strategies, drafting test items and lesson planning.  Change in the CBSE exam format was also discussed , which was very helpful.

    Overall it was a good experience & we  shared some interesting and innovative practices being followed in modern day schools .

      The students of classes 4 and 5 of Arwachin International School, Dilshad Garden, performed a Nukkad Natak at Chetak Complex, Dilshad Garden, on 26th July, 2019. It was based on 3 R’s - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The students were sensitized to take care of the mother earth and the waste which has created the havoc. The young Arwachinians created awareness among the audience regarding the pollution hazards created by the waste. The audience keenly watched the natak and it was applauded by them in the end.

        We at Arwachin International School, Dilshad Garden, believe in the above mentioned quote. We are always ready to compete and come out with flying colours. One such occasion took place at  DAV, PS Pushpanjali Enclave.

        On 22 July’19, the students of Arwachin International School participated in a number of Inter- School competitions At DAV School. The competitions and their participants were as follows-

        ·        Tongue Twisters- Vedansh Sharma (II B), Arna Srivastava (IC)

        ·        Vocabulary Vedio Contest- Agranya Bharadwaj (III B), Arnav Jain (III B), Aanya Khurmi (IV A), Shubh Kandelwal ( IV C)

        ·        Edictorial Cartoon Contest- AbhisHek (VI A), Khushal (VI B)

        ·        Magic Miracle- Himaghn (VII A), Saatvik (VII A), Anshika Sharma (VIII A), Akhil (VIII C)

        Schools from all over India participated in the above competitions.

        Agranya Bharadwaj (III B) and Arnav Jain (III B) who participated in Vocabulary Vedio Contest bagged the 3rd Position and made us proud.

          ARWACHINIAN WINS LAURELS IN DELHI STATE FENCING CHAMPIONSHIP

          It is a proud moment for our school to share that Kabir Bhutani of class 6 A has successfully qualified for the National Championship for Fencing by winning Silver medal in the Delhi State Fencing Championship that was held on 21st July’19. He will represent Dehli under the “Epee” discipline in Fencing in the U12 category in Nashik in the month of August. All our best wishes are with our shinning star.

            CBSE has conducted a workshop on Capacity building program on Information Technology(402) for IT teachers on 18th July at multiple centres. The duration of the workshop was from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This workshop was hosted at Modern Public School., Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.

            The resource persons Mr. Bibhuti Sinha and Ms. Madhu discussed the curriculum for information technology for class IX and X.

            Various activities were also conducted to enhance the knowledge of the teachers on sway, mind mapping, RDBMS, etc. Mindmup software to make a mind map of a chapter /concept to summarize the topic taught.

            The session was very interactive and enriching.

              The students of Arwachin international school have always done well academically. Following this trend, our two students, Shruti Kishore of class 10 and Shruthi Rao of class 12 were invited at a workshop conducted by the CED Foundation to acknowledge their performances in the CBSE Boards.

              Before the award ceremony, the students along with our computer science HOD, Mrs. Pooja Mallick attended a workshop on artificial intelligence. Professor MM Pant helped the students gain knowledge about the beautiful virtual world. At the end of the workshop Mr. Pant left all of us wondering how much ahead in the future we can go using artificial intelligence!

               As a conclusion to this program the CED Foundation honoured our high achievers with trophies, medals and certificates. It was certainly a memorable day for the entire school.

                The students of Arwachin International School took part in Robotex 2019, a regional event organised by Robotech Pvt Ltd, on 13th July 2019. The programme started with the inauguration ceremony, by the chief guests and was followed by various competitions. All the children participated with great enthusiasm.

                Kush Gupta of class 10-A and Utkarsh Malik of 10-B secured the 1st position in the category ‘Young Scientists Award’ STEM, which was a theme based project. Along with this, they have also qualified for the National event of the competition. All the participants were appreciated by the judges and awarded with a certificate.

                The students learned how to keep themselves updated in the field of next-generation Robotics education and find practical solutions to the market needs. Overall, it was an enriching and unforgettable experience for the children.

                  CBSE had conducted a workshop for IT teachers on 12th July at multiple centres. The workshop started at 9.30 a.m. that day

                   Various aspects of syllabus like project work, Practical questions and viva were discussed.Overview of the syllabus was given and topics related to that were discussed.

                  Apart from the syllabus resource person also elaborated the use of:

                  1.      MS sway to make content  more presentable(This may be added in CBSE syllabus from next year)

                  2.      Mindmup software to make a mind map of a chapter /concept to summarize the topic taught.
