Dussehra Celebration - Classes 3, 4 & 5

Our students celebrated the spirit of Dussehra with devotion, creativity and values!

*Class 3 - Let Us Overcome Our Bad Habits:* Students wrote one bad habit to overcome and replaced it with a good habit on the Good Habits Tree.

*Class 4 - If I Were a Character in the Ramayana:* Students spoke as Ramayana characters and shared their values, learning that good always wins over evil.

*Class 5 - The Goodness Tree:* Students wrote one good deed they promised to practice on a leaf and created a Goodness Tree for the class.

The activities were not just fun, but also helped students reflect on their own behaviour.

We are proud of our young learners for embracing the true meaning of Dussehra - to choose goodness, kindness and truth every day!

Dussehra Special Assembly – Shakti: The Divine Power Within Us

Arwachin Intwrnatuinal School celebrated Dussehra with a special assembly on 17th October, highlighting the victory of good over evil. The programme featured devotional music, an English speech, Navdurga presentation, drama, Hindi poetry, Garba dance and a dance drama on Mahishasur Mardini. Students learnt the importance of overcoming anger, jealousy and hatred while cultivating kindness, courage and righteousness. The assembly concluded with the Principal’s words of wisdom.

Workshop on School Mental Health

A workshop on School Mental Health was facilitated by Ms. Gagandeep Kaur Sethi on Friday, 16 October 2026. It was attended by Mrs. Priya Grover, Ms. Tanvi Mehrotra  and Mrs. Chetna Khaneja. The session focused on the early identification, screening, intervention, and management of various psychological and emotional concerns among students. It highlighted the importance of recognising signs of difficulty at an early stage and providing appropriate support to address students’ mental health needs. The workshop also emphasised the role of educators in fostering emotionally safe and inclusive classroom environments. A resource titled “Early Identification Screening Checklist & Classroom Management Toolkit,” published by  Bestway Publications and developed by Gagandeep Kaur Sethi, was shared as a practical resource for educators. The workshop provided valuable insights into strengthening mental health awareness and promoting timely support for students experiencing psychological or emotional difficulties.

Interactive Assembly 1-A

On 15th October 2026, the young learners of Class 1-A organized a vibrant Interactive Assembly to celebrate Dussehra and Navratri. The event began with an inspiring Thought of the Day on the victory of good over evil, followed by the morning news delivered confidently by the students.

The main highlight was a captivating skit depicting key scenes from the Ramayana, through which the children beautifully showcased the story of Lord Rama’s triumph over Ravana. Adding to the festive cheer, the students performed a colourful Garba dance in traditional attire. To wrap up the assembly, the class teacher held an engaging talk, explaining the core values of honesty, righteousness, and unity in a simple, relatable way. The assembly concluded on a joyful note, successfully blending cultural learning with enthusiastic student participation.

Our respected Principal ma’am Mrs. Bhatnagar and Coordinator Ms. Natasha Sharma appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers, applauding the confidence, creativity, and teamwork displayed throughout the assembly.

Overall, the assembly was informative, entertaining, and successful in delivering a valuable message to all.

 A Visit by the Japan Foundation Officials

Arwachin International School welcomed a three-member delegation from the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, on 14 October 2026. The delegation comprised Mr Ken Yano, Japanese Language Advisor,Ms Maiko Shimizu and Ms Kanako Matsuo, Nihongo Partners Coordinators.

The delegation met with the Chairman, MrArun Sharma, to discuss matters related to Japanese language education and the ongoing collaboration between the school and the Japan Foundation.

Following the meeting, the visitors observed Japanese language classes and interacted with Japanese language teachers and students. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen the partnership, exchange ideas, and explore ways to further enrich students’ Japanese language learning experiences.

Arwachin International School looks forward to continuing its association with the Japan Foundation and creating more meaningful learning opportunities for students.

INTERACTIVE ASSEMBLY

The students of Class 1B conducted an engaging and informative interactive assembly on 13.10.26 on the occasion of Indian Air Force Day. The assembly began with the News and Thought of the Day, followed by interesting facts about the Indian Air Force, highlighting its courage, dedication, and vital role in safeguarding our nation.

The students showcased a short play emphasising the importance and bravery of Air Force officers. The event also featured a beautiful dance performance, adding enthusiasm and patriotic spirit to the occasion.

The assembly concluded with an inspiring teacher’s talk, emphasizing the importance of Air Force. Our respected Coordinator Ms. Natasha Sharma appreciated the efforts of the students and teacher, shared her valuable thoughts, inspiring everyone to respect and honour the brave heroes of our nation.

The assembly was a wonderful blend of learning, creativity, and patriotism.

गुरु वंदन छात्र अभिनंदन समारोह

अर्वाचीन इंटरनेशनल स्कूल में 9 अक्टूबर 2026 को भारत विकास परिषद के तत्वावधान में ‘गुरु वंदन छात्र अभिनंदन’कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। समारोह में विद्यालय की प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती रुचिरा भटनागर जी के साथ परिषद के मुख्य पदाधिकारी—अध्यक्ष श्री विजय अग्रवाल जी, कोषाध्यक्ष श्री कैलाश वर्मा जी, सचिव श्री अंकित गर्ग जी एवं संस्कार संयोजक श्रीमती सपना गुप्ता जी उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम में शिक्षण में उत्कृष्ट योगदान के लिए पांच शिक्षिकाओं- श्रीमती ईशा पंडित, श्रीमती सूर्य लक्ष्मी, श्रीमती प्रभजोत कौर, श्रीमती पूनम वर्मा और सुश्री नताशा शर्मा को सम्मानित किया गया।

साथ ही सत्र 2025–26 के कक्षा छठी से बारहवीं कक्षा में सर्वोच्च स्थान प्राप्त करने वाले विद्यार्थियों को मेधावी सम्मान दिया गया।

भारत विकास परिषद के अध्यक्ष श्री विजय अग्रवाल जी ने अपने वक्तव्य में छात्रों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि गुरु के दिखाए मार्ग पर चलकर ही सफलता की स्थायी नींव रखी जा सकती है। संस्कार संयोजक श्रीमती सपना गुप्ता जी ने दैनिक जीवन में माता-पिता एवं गुरुजनों के सम्मान को जीवन का अभिन्न अंग बनाने पर बल दिया।

कार्यक्रम के अंत में सभी शिक्षकों, विद्यार्थियों एवं भारत विकास परिषद के पदाधिकारियों के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया गया। राष्ट्रगान के सामूहिक गायन के साथ यह प्रेरक समारोह सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ।

Unleashing Creativity: Senior Students Explore Armour Design and SFX Makeup at Pearl Academy

The students of Classes XI and XII embarked on an exciting educational trip to Pearl Academy on 07 October, 2026. The visit featured an immersive, hands-on workshop focused on the niche fields of Armour Making and SFX (Special Effects) Makeup.

The session was conducted by the renowned cosplayer Ms. Medha Srivastava, who provided the students with valuable, practical insights into:

• Armour construction and creative design
• Material handling and structural execution
• SFX makeup techniques for the screen and stage

The trip was a highly engaging and enriching experience. It not only boosted the students’ creativity and practical skills but also opened their eyes to diverse, non-traditional career opportunities in the fashion and entertainment industries.

                                          Educational Trip to IHBAS INSTITUTE

An educational trip was organised on 7th October, 2026 for the Psychology students of Classes XI and XII to the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS). The trip provided students with valuable exposure to the field of mental health, where they got an opportunity to observe patients and gain an understanding of various psychological and psychiatric disorders. The students were educated about different disorders, their symptoms and how mental health professionals work with individuals experiencing such concerns. They were also introduced to various psychological tests and assessment tools used in the field, which helped them connect their classroom learning with practical applications. The trip was an enriching learning experience for the students and helped them develop a deeper understanding of mental health, psychological disorders and the practical aspects of the field.

                                       LEARN GITA

Arwachin International School organised an insightful session on the Gita Paath on 5th October 2026. The session focused on introducing students to the timeless teachings of the Gita and highlighting their relevance in present-day life.

The session was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Mukul Awasthi, along with Ms. Smita, Ms. Radha Maheshwari, Ms. Simran and Ms. Rekha. The speakers explained how the teachings of the Gita can help students develop discipline, self-confidence, emotional balance, positive thinking and a sense of duty. The session also emphasised the importance of understanding the Gita not merely as a spiritual text but as a practical guide for facing challenges and making responsible choices. Students were provided with relevant handouts to support their learning and understanding.

The workshop was enriching and thought-provoking, encouraging students to connect the timeless wisdom of the Gita with their everyday lives. It was a meaningful step towards nurturing values, inner strength and holistic development among students.

REPORT ON SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT AND E-WASTE

Arwachin International School organised an informative and engaging lecture on 1 October 2026 for “Solid Waste Management and Waste Segregation” in the school auditorium for students of Classes V-VIII.  The programme aimed to sensitise students towards responsible waste disposal, proper segregation and sustainable waste-management practices and began with an introduction to the concept of solid waste management and its significance in maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Students were made aware of the different sources of waste generated at home, school and in the community.

The speaker explained the importance of segregating waste at the point of generation. Through examples and interactive discussion, students learnt to differentiate betweenWet Waste: Food scraps, vegetable and fruit peels, garden waste, etc., Dry Waste: Paper, cardboard, plastic packaging, metal and other recyclable materials.,E-Waste: Discarded electronic and electrical items such as batteries, wires, chargers and electronic devices.Students were also introduced to the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and were encouraged to avoid unnecessary consumption, reuse materials wherever possible and send recyclable waste through appropriate channels.Special emphasis was placed on the harmful effects of littering, excessive plastic use, open dumping and improper disposal of waste. The lecture highlighted how individual actions at school and at home can contribute significantly to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.. The students also shared their ideas for maintaining a clean, plastic-conscious and waste-responsible school campus.The lecture successfully enhanced students' understanding of solid waste management and responsible waste segregation.

The session concluded with a pledge to practise responsible waste management and encourage others to do the same. The programme was an enriching learning experience that connected classroom concepts with real-life environmental challenges and strengthened the school's commitment towards cleanliness, sustainability and environmental responsibility.
