Teachers’ Conclave

Kidzania and The Hindu- in School organised KidZania EduZummit, 2019 on 11th November. The key speaker was Mrs. Shashi Banerjee, Principal, Shiv Nadar School, Noida. She stressed on the need to shift from teaching to learning.

There was a panel of eminent speakers like Ms Nidhi , Regional school director, Zee learn, Ms Seema Jerath, Principal, DLF Pub School, Ms Manju Gupta, Principal, Kothair International School, Ms Dhriti Malhotra, director Principal, Manav Rachna International School, Gurgaon and Ms Sonal Ahuja, Founder of House of Learning, who spoke on the ways to destress teaching faculty.

Other guest speakers were Mrs. Nidhi Tewari, Head technology and senior supervisor, Sprindales School and Dr. Noopur Sharma, Sr gynaecologist and infertility expert.

Many activities like Cookery show by Nestle, dance performance by teachers and presentation by Makershala were also organised.

Jazba e Junoon, a rock band, gave a scintillating performance of various retro numbers to entertain the audience.

The workshop was attended by Mrs. Priya Grover and Mrs Sangita Sharma. It was a fulfilled and an informative session.

    Children’s Day Celebration 2019
    Rocksport Camp

    On the occasion of Children’s Day, Rocksport Program was organized at Arwachin International School. It was held on 13th November for classes 3 to 6 in the school premises. Children enjoyed various fun filled adventure activities which enhanced their confidence and encouraged team work.

    Children, dressed in sports attire, started their day with a healthy breakfast. Then they did many adventurous activities like Commando Net, Sport Climbing, Tug of War, Zipline, Body Zorb, Zorbing , Laser Beam, Survival Shelter and Commando Crawl. These activities helped students to become more focused and determined, enhanced their emotional quotient and social skills.

    Children enjoyed a delicious and sumptuous lunch. In the end, they danced with their friends and enjoyed evening snacks. It was a wonderful day filled with much laughter, fun and recreational activities.

      Adventure camp

      Adventure camp is a day camp that offers a welcoming , lively, safe, positive and diverse environment where children gain confidence and build self- esteem.

       

      A fun filled adventure camp was organized at Arwachin International School on 11th November for classes Pre Primary to class to class II. The camp Exposed campers to a variety of challenging and exciting activities along with yummy and nutritious food. The activities included zip line, hop scotch, burma bridge, commando net, commando crawl, laser beam. The students were full of zeal and enthusiasm during the camp. Last but not least DJ party for children.

      Finally the was indeed well spent and campers added memories to cherish for throughout their life.

        Report on Japan on Canvas

        ‘Japan on Canvas’ is a unique kind of sequential event to experience Japan’s cultural promotional activities.

        A competition was organized by “ Experience japan” organization in which schools from all over India participated and exhibited Japan on Canvas with their perspective.

          Students of Arwachin International School also became a part of this event.

          Top 32 paintings of the budding artists will be exhibited all over India.

         The painting of Sri Ram Srigil of VIA and Devika Arali VIIIA were selected in Top 32.

         Shrishti Sharma of VII B was the winner of the outstanding performance. Kashish Anwer of Class Dishika Sharma of VIIB, Shailja of XI D won award for being  extra ordinary performance award.

        It was an incredible experience for all the students.

          Instrumental Music Competition

          As it is rightly said that music is a simple law which gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind , flight to imagination and charm to everything. To give a perfect platform to the young learners to perform, an Inter-house Instrumental Music Competition was organised by Arwachin International School, Dilshad Garden on 8th of November 2019 for primary school children. The students of classes III, IV and V showcased their talent in the competition. There were three rounds – Solo, Duet and Group. All the participants enthralled everyone with the rendition of melodious songs through their competence in playing instruments. The soulful harmonies and vibrant rhythms of all the houses found an echo in the hearts of the audience and judges and filled the auditorium with melody and euphony.

          The competition was judged by Mrs Rohatgi, Mrs Lochan and Mr Leslie.

          Following were the winners:

          Solo Singing- The first position was bagged by Madhav Chhavra from Tilak House, Gaurik Malhotra from Shastri House stood second, followed by Sparsh Chaudhary from Tagore House.

          Duet Singing- The first position was bagged by Hansika and Gaurik from Shastri House, Medhavi and Madhav from Tilak House stood second, followed by Bhavika and Sparsh from Tagore House.

          Group Singing- The first position was bagged by Shastri House, Tilak and Bose House stood second, followed by Tagore House.

          Our respected Principal, Mrs. Nair graced the occasion with her presence. She was thoroughly impressed, the way the students prepared and performed on the stage. She appreciated the efforts of all the participants as well as the teacher. The event was concluded with the National Anthem.

            WESTERN MUSIC COMPETITION (8-11-2019)

            The Western Music Competition of L.K.G and U.K.G was held on 8th November 2019. The children participated with great enthusiasm and sang beautifully.The confidence, memorization and articulation of the children were superb. All did very well. 

             Mrs. Nair graced the occasion with her presence. The results were announced by Mrs.Nair.

            The honorable judges were Mr.Sagar , Mrs. Lochan Tulsi,  and Mrs.Pathak & Mrs. Chauhan .

              PBL Japanese Language Mini Camp 2019

              A PBL Japanese Language Mini Camp was organized on 8th November, 2019 at Blue Bells School. It was conducted by JALSTA in support with the Japan Foundation, New Delhi. The students studying Japanese language in classes 11 and 12 attended the camp along with their teacher, Mrs. Vandana Jain.

              The objective of the camp was to complete the Project based learning activity prescribed in the CBSE curriculum with facilitation and guidance by the team of trained teachers. The theme of the camp was “Indian Transport? Let’s think what we can do!”

              The students participated energetically in all the activities of the camp by implementing 21st century skills. In addition, they interacted in Japanese and enhanced their conversational skills. In the beginning of the camp the students shared and talked about the pre-task in groups, which was given to them before attending the camp. Then the camp proceeded with the discussion of merits and demerits of Indian transportation. The final presentations were based on problems taken and their solutions given by each group. The camp ended with many innovative ideas to solve the problems related to Indian transports. The theme of the camp was really relevant to the present Indian scenario.

              It was the great learning platform for the teachers as facilitator as well.

                Seminar on Artificial Intelligence

                Programme for Environmental Aawareness in School (PEAS) together with KIPS organized a workshop on November 7th 2019, at India International Centre on the topic: “The need of critical thinking and reasoning using Artificial Intelligence”

                The seminar was directed towards middle and high school teachers, enthusiastic students and professionals from the learning and education background

                From Arwachin International School the seminar was attended by 2 computer Teachers: Mrs. Garima Arora and Mrs. Anjali Sharma along with 5 students of Class 12: Naman Arora, Aniket Bhardwaj, Aayush Garg, Parth Aggarwal, Ashutosh Singh.

                It was a knowledgeable and enriching session concluded with an interactive question answer session which allowed the students to kindle their critical thinking skills and broaden up their understanding of the concepts.

                  Japanese Language Workshop

                  Mrs. Jain and Mrs. Kaur attended a Japanese language workshop organized by JALSTA (Japanese Language School Teachers’ Association) with the support of CBSE and the Japan Foundation, New Delhi (JFND). It was conducted on 1st Nov. 2019 at Birla Vidhya  Niketan, Delhi.

                  The workshop began with the group activity by JALSTA and JFND members for Japanese language students of the host school to give them an opportunity to experience Japanese culture and language.

                  The workshop proceeded with an interesting activity named “Let’s Chat in Japanese” for the teachers. It gave the teachers an opportunity to converse in Japanese with Japanese native volunteers.

                  This was followed by the Gundoku (Japanese poem recitation) contest workshop conducted by Ms. Imoto, Japanese language advisor JFND.

                  At the end of the workshop, JALSTA announced the launch of its new website. It was a proud and happy moment for all Japanese language teachers of Delhi and NCR.
