Report: Gaming Competition

On 26th September 2014, eight students of class XI and XII from Arwachin International School participated in the Game Jam Titans 2014’, an annual Game development competition organized by MindBox and Nasscom at UP Technical University, Noida.  The students were asked to develop the games based on two themes : Brazil and Marathon.

25 Schools from all over NCR took part in the competition. All the students amazed the Judges with their talent of making Pro like games. The judges appreciated the students of our school for the effort they had put in, despite such a short period of preparation. Even though they could not win but it was a very good exposure for all the students as they not only got to know the famous personalities from the Game development world i.e the Jury Panel but they also learnt how the games are developed which they play at home.

          Tasty Treat

A healthy mind dwells in a healthy body and surely food is an essential part of good health.  Keeping this in mind the students of Health and Wellness club  prepared two dishes under the guidance of their teachers during the club periods on 3rd of September,2014 . They chose to make Mixed Fruit Trifle and  Sour and Sweet Gram. The criterion to select the dishes was very simple. The dish had to be healthy and tasty. The trifle was full of fruits and milk protein and was topped  with a   sponge cake. Gram  is a good source of protein and to make it more healthy , home-made cheese was added to it along with sweet and sour chutney. The whole wheat ‘Khakhra’ was also added to give it a crunchy taste.

Students also made greeting cards and wrote a healthy tip inside each card for their teachers. Everybody enjoyed the food and the bonhomie that ensued.
