Sparkling Diwali
Arwachin
International School, Dilshad Garden, celebrated Diwali assembly on October 17, 2017, with lot of festive fervour. Mr. Arun Sharma, our honourable director,
and Mrs. Peter, Our respected Principal, graced the occasion. The lighting of
the lamp marked the auspicious beginning of the programme. The auditorium was
filled with serenity when the students chanted the shloka ‘
Vakratunda
Mahakaya’. The young instrumentalists stole everyone’s heart by playing
melodious tunes of various devotional songs. The song ‘Mile hain chiragon se’
sung by the choir was well appreciated by all. The highlight of the assembly
was the message of ‘ Say no to
crackers’ which was sent loud and clear through a drama, a video and a speech
given by the anchor of the show. The emphasis was to spread the message of
Celebrating Eco friendly Diwali. The young dancers danced to the tunes of a
song to seek the blessings of Lord Ganpati.
In
the final address, Mr Sharma and Mrs. Peter stressed on the need to celebrate
clean and green Diwali to save our environment. They insisted on a dust free, smoke
free and pollution free Diwali. They wished and blessed the entire school
community to prosper.
Finally
the programme came to an end with the singing of the National Anthem.
